The Classic Dress

Polka dots, winged liner and a bold red lip are the epitome of classic style to me. One day while searching through my moms closet, I came across this vintage Henri Bendel maxi dress that I am now in love with.  I feel like every girl needs a good maxi dress for those days when you want to look put together, but effortless. It's simple, yet makes a statement. I paired it with my Zara backpack and Birkenstock look-a-likes from Topshop for an easy going weekend outfit. The Ruby Woo lip (my favorite MAC lipstick by the way) gave the outfit an extra pop. Before the weather changes drastically within the upcoming weeks, I am trying my hardest to wear all of my favorite summer pieces that I will unfortunately have to throw to the back of my closet once winter comes. However, some summer pieces can transition into the winter months! New post coming soon  ;)

Other Things On My Heart...

This scripture has been burning in my heart for the past week. I think that it can relate to you with whatever situation you're in right now. Just remember that no matter how many things you are doing for God, make sure that you are consistent in your relationship with Him. Never allow your life to become a checklist filled with thousands of ways that you have made God's name known, yet you have no relationship. Fall in love with God and seek Him as you would your spouse or even your family member. The bible says that He is closer than a brother so let's act like it!

“I see what you’ve done, your hard, hard work, your refusal to quit. I know you can’t stomach evil, that you weed out apostolic pretenders. I know your persistence, your courage in my cause, that you never wear out. But you walked away from your first love—why? What’s going on with you, anyway? Do you have any idea how far you’ve fallen? ... Turn back! Recover your dear early love. No time to waste, for I’m well on my way to removing your light from the golden circle.”
