It Is Well
Hello Beauties!
This weekend I took a trip to Tulsa, Oklahoma to attend the Propel Women's Conference. My goal behind the trip was to gain clarity and direction from God on what He wants me to do next. With it being my senior year of college I have a lot of important decisions coming up within the next 6 months. I've been trying not to get anxious and fearful about the future, but it's so easy to right now. Especially going to an art school where you either make it or you don't. State schools have a bit more cushion because students can choose fields like medicine or business, which often give them more options in the job market. Instead, I'm constantly surrounded by people who are freaking out about whether or not their passion will support them in the future.
However, I am reminded of what God has done thus far in my life. I don't have all of the answers right now and I'm at the point where questions of what I will do post-graduation give me a headache. But one thing that is different between me and my peers is that I can rest in the promise that God will never fail me. I don't have to worry because He has shown himself to be nothing but faithful during these last 4 years. My history affirms the greatness of my future. I'm resting and keeping my eyes focused on the promise that God gave me when I first started at Columbia. He promised to never leave my side and open doors that no man could shut.
There are a couple of nuggets that I grabbed a hold of when I was at Propel this weekend and I feel like they will be a blessing to you too. If you are in the midst of a transition in life and you're not sure how God is going to come through for you remember this...
- You are called.
- Failure is never final.
- You cannot perform your way into what God has for you.
- Be anxious for nothing. Instead be open and have peace knowing that God has pre-destined you.
- You can't worry yourself into purpose.
I don't know what situation it is that you may be going through this week or maybe even this year, but I do know that ALL WILL BE WELL WITH YOU. God has not given you a spirit of fear and it would be crazy to start doubting Him now.
“For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Be encouraged, My Loves! We will be ALL that God has called us to be. You are not too late on your road to destiny, You are right on time.
With Love,
