Yesterday I celebrated my 21st birthday! Only one word can accurately describe what I felt throughout my entire day…BLESSED! In today’s society, I feel that turning twenty-one has gotten a bad reputation. For some reason 21st birthdays have become code for getting aimlessly drunk and waking up with no recognition of what happened the night before, BUT we still esteem it as being a “great night”. Well…time to flip the script! NO DRINKS. JUST CHOCOLATE. A group of friends and I went to one of the cutest restaurants in Wicker Park called Hot Chocolate. The food was delicious. I got the crab cake and hot chocolate along with a dessert called Chocolate Squared. However, I have to admit the food wasn’t half as good as the fellowship. Birthdays are all about love and I definitely felt it. I’m so excited about this next year in life. I know that God has some amazing things in store and I’m ready to go all in. I hope you all are doing well.
