A Renewed Mindset

A week ago I attended the Kim Walker “Still Believe” concert in Grand Rapids, MI. Before ever attending to the concert I was already praying to God for what my next steps would be concerning my future. I was praying for clarity of vision. I walked into the building with a clear heart expecting the Lord to speak. As soon as I walked into auditorium I felt God begin to minister to me. It felt as if scales were being ripped off of my heart and I was molting. If you’re not familiar with the process of molting, it is when a snake begins to shed its previous skin due to a change in maturity or environment.  Before the snake begins to shed, its skin becomes very dull and lifeless. The eyes of the snake are covered with cloudy bluish fluid caps that make it hard for the snake to see. They move slower during this period of time because their vision is unclear. However, after the snake sheds its old skin it comes back better than it was. Its coat is shinier and its colors are more vibrant than ever before! The snake has a renewed sense of being. It was exactly what God had been revealing to my spirit! You walk with God and have faith that He will do what He said He would in your life. Yet, what happens when you don’t know what your next step should be? For a while I was in a season of complete blindness; walking out the word, but not seeing ANY results. Frustrated because I so desperately wanted Him to give me some kind of direction. I have come to a place now in my walk with God that I don’t jump unless HE says jump. I refused to step out on my own will. Sometimes, in life you have seasons where you are unsure of your next steps. I encourage you to renew your mindset!

What are your goals? Where do you want to be in the next 5-10 years? What sets you apart from others in your field?

All of these questions shape our destiny. WE MUST HAVE A VISION! This summer I am in the process of writing my vision out. I’m going to be praying for direction and wisdom. REMEMBER: It’s not what YOU want to do in your life, but what GOD wants to do in your life. There’s no way that any of us can write a vision without first consulting God.

I encourage you to take some time out to do the same. Great things come from planning. We must be proactive and not just allow our days to go by without purposeful intent.

BTW

: Now that I’m home for the summer I’m also planning to get healthier! School has a way of taking its toll on your health so I am now in the middle of a fruits and veggies detox. I will post more about my experiences the further along that I get in the process.

Hope you all are doing wonderful!

Love,

Maureé

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. -Romans 12:2

Write down this vision. Write it clearly on tablets, so that anyone who reads it may run. For the vision points ahead to a time I have appointed; it testifies regarding the end, and it will not lie. Even if there is a delay, wait for it. It is coming and will come without delay. -Habakuk 22:2-4
